Probably gonna be wet and warm, but we’ll be out riding on the road this Saturday.  I will be leading the C-Velo indoor classes (see c-velocycling.com), so Matt will be leading the ride.  Leaving the shop at 7:45am sharp.  Expect about a 2 hr ride that is medium to hard intensity with the potential for a few race pace efforts.  There will be some re-grouping, but generally this is a non-stop ride.  Here is the planned route:

31 Mar 2012 group road ride

If you want more (or less) pain than the planned ride, the routes should provide enough choices to make the ride what you want.  Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you!

Not sure what everyone is afraid of, but the weather has been quite tolerable for nearly all of the Saturday rides, so get out and join us!  Leaving the shop tomorrow at 7:45am sharp, we will ride a generally non-stop 2hr training ride.  Expect about a medium to hard intensity with some chances for race pace.  The ride will be happening rain or shine and here is the planned route:

    24 Mar group road ride

The route should provide enough choices for those that may want to ride shorter or longer.  Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you!

Here is a link to a video that the guys at Kona made starring our very own Julie Kramer!  It is a little movie about the relationship bike riders in Portland have with the city.

The kids in this video are priceless.

    Q:  Why ride bikes?

A:  ”It saves polar bears…polar bears are epic!”

There is another video that features the Kona Roundabout.  Its actually a bike that we have been begging Kona to make for a while now.  They listened, and now we have this bike at the shop!

    Check it out

The first mountain bike race of the 2012 season has come and gone, and we’re eagerly awaiting the famous Mudslinger on April 1st. If you’re not excited about mountain biking yet, we’ve got some rad films for you! Friday, March 30th we’re showing Klunkerz on the big screen upstairs, as well as a few choice short films to start things off. Bring your own camp chair or floor pillow. We’ll provide the popcorn and beverages.  This is a family-friendly event, and all are welcome, racers and non-racers alike. Doors at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm.
