We accept “bike shop quality” used bicycles, frames, and components for sale on consignment. Turnover is brisk, so our inventory fluctuates rapidly.
We accept consignment items Wednesday – Saturday.
Serial numbers for all bicycles and frames accepted for consignment will be run through the City of Portland’s NWRAPID database. The seller must present a valid ID at the time of consignment. Per city code, all bicycles must be remain in the shop for 14 days after the date of arrival. The seller retains the right to pick up their bicycle at any time after the 14 day period but prior to sale of the bicycle. Listing prices are agreed upon by Sellwood Cycle Repair and the seller.
Sellwood Cycle Repair assumes responsibility for the bicycle while on consignment.
Sellwood Cycle Repair reserves the right to reject any bicycle. We do not accept recumbent or BMX bicycles on consignment.
Consignment rates are as follows:
- For items selling for more than $100, the rate is 2/3 to the seller and 1/3 to Sellwood Cycle. If payment is taken as store credit, the rate is 75/25%.
- For items selling for $100 or less, the rate will be 60% to the seller and 40% to Sellwood Cycle, preferably paid as store credit only.
- Bike industry employees receive a rate of 75/25% for items more than $100.
