Erik Tonkin
Shop Owner
Erik hails from the hockey infested frozen waters of Minnesota. He started at Sellwood Cycle in 1995 after some time with Cycle Sport and the Bike Gallery. The Kona Factory race team enjoyed many years of his services as a Mountain and Cyclocross racer. He maintains a close relationship with Kona and helps with product development. They even named a utility road bike model after him. He’s always “Makin’ it look mean!” (gratuitous Slap Shot reference)
Brad Winn
Service Manager
Brad comes to Sellwood from Bicycle Village in Colorado. He has a background in engineering and track and field. With a breadth of knowledge in training and conditioning, Brad coaches athletes and races as a Cat 1 on the road.
Matt Mahoney
Service Manager
Matt started at Sellwood Cycle in 2006. He races in local cat 2 road, cyclocross and mountain bike events.
Pace
Operations Manager
Pace works behind the scenes to keep the shop running smoothly. He also designed the current shop and builds most of our product displays.
Ask him about: cargo bikes. Pace does most of the customization of our cargo bikes in his home workshop.
Jason Beasley
Service
Also goes by Dr. Cheasley, Lil’ Beazy, etc.
Butch Wells
Service
Butch has been riding and fixing bikes since he was a kid. He has a soft spot for shiny old Schwinns and keeps a museum of suspension forks at his house. Many years in the bike industry have given him a wealth of experience. We’re glad to have him.
