Consignment BIkes Pt. VIII : Industry Bikes

What qualities do a custom full-suspension Kona Satori 29er and a Giant TCR Advanced Di2 road bike have in common?  Other than the fact that they're both top notch bikes in their own regard - these two bikes are on consignment from friends of the shop, and these friends both just happen to be reps for Giant Bicycles and Giro / Bell / Easton respectively.  Similar to the close relationships formed with our frequent customers, the folks that handle our daily product needs quickly become part of our extended family so to speak.  So much so that when it comes time to unload a bike, we're often their first stop.

The Giant on the left is a 2012 TCR Advanced 0 in a Medium size, set up with the stock 2 x 10-spd Ultegra Di2 electronic group.  The frame is brand new and the parts group has just a bit of use on it, and because the bike is on consignment from our Giant rep, the lifetime warranty on the frame and fork and two-year warranty on the wheels will be honored.  The Satori on the other hand features an 18" 2012 Kona frame built up with the cream of the crop - a M980 XTR 2 x 10-spd group, upgraded FOX Fit RLC 29 fork, matching Monarch rear shock, and an Easton Haven carbon wheelset (the wheels use a prototype rear thru-axle that is soon to debut to the general public).

Both of these bikes are screaming deals for what they are, and the fact that they're on consignment by industry folks only sweetens the deal.  Whether its an upheld warranty, new technology currently unavailable to the general public, or simply a heck of a bike put together by folks with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in the bike industry - consignment bikes such as these are of a rare and special breed.
